On the afternoon of 8 October 2026, at Thien An Group, the Keieijuku Vietnam Community held a KEI CAFÉ Special Event themed “From Genba to Smart Manufacturing”. The highlight was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Keieijuku Vietnam and Korea’s SMATPA on smart manufacturing and digital transformation.

The event was attended by the SMATPA delegation led by Chairman Park Su-cheol, representatives of GMO and many Community members. The MOU opens an international cooperation channel, giving members access to practical experience from their Korean partner.

Following the signing, Korean experts shared their experience implementing Smart Factory solutions with MES, IoT, robotics and artificial intelligence (AI).

Genba is Japanese for “the actual place”, where real value is created. Mr. Vinh (Van Vina) recounted his company’s digitalisation journey, built from real problems on the Genba, offering members many valuable perspectives.

The event closed with an introduction to a Korean ODA programme advising manufacturers on building smart factories, followed by a lively Q&A with the speakers.
