Sống Chất 4 – Huế: A Journey of “Curiosity – The Beginning of Every Improvement”

From 9 to 11 September 2026, the Keieijuku Vietnam Community held Sống Chất 4 in Hue under the theme “Curiosity – The Beginning of Every Improvement”, combining cultural experiences in the former imperial capital with an expert session on Kaizen.

The organisers deliberately kept the programme secret until the last minute, inviting members – people used to leadership and daily responsibility – to be curious again: about a place, a layer of culture, their companions and themselves.

The journey began with a “Kai Rên” health talk on the Hanoi – Hue train. In Hue, the group visited the Minh Mang Tomb, listened to ca Hue on the Perfume River, toured Thien Mu Pagoda, played pickleball, dressed in traditional costume in the Imperial City, attended a royal-themed Gala night and spent a quiet moment at Thien Lam Pagoda before leaving on the heritage train.

CURIOSITY – WHERE KAIZEN BEGINS

At the Mini BFS, Mr. Trinh Nam Hai spoke on genba Kaizen, covering real-world examples of Kaizen on the shop floor, how to implement it and a free talk, linked to the programme’s spirit of curiosity.

After the session, member Lien Nguyen wrote that Kaizen starts with questions: “Why do we have to do it this way?”, “Why does this defect appear every month?”, “Is there a better way?”. Raising profit does not always mean selling more; sometimes value lies inside the factory – in a minute of waiting, a redundant motion or a defect found too late.

One member jokingly called the trip “Curious by Morning – Groping Home by Night”. Sống Chất is not about living a lot, but about living deeply.

The Chair Board and Organising Committee thank all members, Mr. Hai, Master Tue An, Hanoi Suntravel and the logistics team. With the message “Go to Live Fully – Return to Live Better”, see you at Sống Chất 5.

Sincerely,
On behalf of the Executive Board
