During Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visit and working trip to Japan from December 15 to 17, 2023, a significant event took place at the Vietnam-Japan Business Forum 2023 on the morning of December 1, 2023, at The New Otani Hotel, Tokyo.

Witnessed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with Ministers, leaders representing ministries, agencies, localities, and major corporations from both Vietnam and Japan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hien, Director of the Vietnam-Japan Human Resources Development Institute (VJCC) , and Mr. Kinoshita Tadahiro, Chairman of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) in Vietnam, officially announced the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for business networking and human resource development collaboration.

This MOU stands out among the 30 MOUs signed at the Forum, aiming to support Japanese and Vietnamese companies in creating new cooperation opportunities by fostering business network connections, training, human resource development, and other exchange activities.

As a training unit under Foreign Trade University implementing the VJCC Project supported by JICA , the VJCC Institute has achieved proud results after more than 20 years of persistent development in training and consulting activities applying Japanese business methods. VJCC strives to enhance management capacity for Vietnamese enterprises and build a business connection network for over 700 enterprises, who are alumni of the Keieijuku Advanced Business Program, with Japanese businesses both domestically and in Japan. The signing of this MOU marks a crucial transition, clearly demonstrating the VJCC Institute’s prestige with a national-level Japanese organization.

The MOU will serve as a legal basis for numerous future cooperation activities between the VJCC Institute and JCCI, enhancing the quality and enriching VJCC’s activities for businesses as well as its Bachelor’s programs in International Business based on the advanced Japanese model (JIB) and Digital Business (DB). This is fully consistent with VJCC Institute’s mission: “To develop high-quality human resources in economic management and corporate governance fields in the Japanese spirit; to be a bridge of knowledge, science, and professional skills for the business community and society; to promote business and cultural-educational exchanges between Vietnam and Japan”.

The Vietnam-Japan Business Forum 2023, themed “Economic Relations in the New Era – Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World,” was an activity celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, attracting over 500 delegates from government agencies, ministries, localities, and major corporations from both countries.
